Well the sunshine lasted long enough to get out there and get some essential jobs done, even if it has returned to standard march winds now. I've even cut the lawn, I can never bring myself to spray it with all the chemicals necessary to get that perfect stripey look, but it'll do, if anyone has any organic suggestions for how to get rid of the weeds I'd love to know. The best bit about this time of year for me, is reading all the plant catalogues and planning what new plants to choose and what will go there. I've decided on a blue and orange theme for the front garden, now that the surly one has finally dragged himself away from 6 Nations to finish the new front path. So I was pretty chuffed to find the Murano Solar Garden Globe in midnight, which will go perfectly with my colour scheme. Although there is also the Moon Jar, I can't decide maybe a combination of both! In the day they look like garden art and by night will give it a magical fairy feel to the garden, well it will to us when we stumble down the path after a few too many Doom Bars.
